Mr Robert Francis QC

Robert Francis QC is a Barrister specialising in medical law. He was called to the Bar in 1973 and became Queen’s Counsel in 1992. He has been a Recorder sitting in criminal and civil jurisdictions since 1996. He is co-head of his chambers at Three Serjeants’ Inn in London. He represents Claimants and Defendants in clinical negligence litigation, cases concerning medical ethical issues, and public law cases concerning provision of treatment; he appears in and chairs public and disciplinary inquiries relating to medical treatment. He is Vice Chairman of the Professional Negligence Bar Association. He is a Consultant Editor of Lloyds Law Reports: Medical and co-author of Medical Treatment Decisions and the Law.
