Mr Roger Clements

Roger Clements is an obstetrician and gynaecologist and experienced expert witness who also edits the journal Clinical Risk. He qualified in 1960 and was appointed consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at the North Middlesex Hospital 1973-1994. In 1991 he became its Medical Director until retiring from the NHS in 1994. He is now in private practice. He has acted as an expert witness since 1970 and has now written over 1500 expert reports and appeared in Court as an expert witness in more than 60 cases. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Experts and is a founding Governor of the Expert Witness Institute. He is the author of ‘Safe Practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology’ (1994), ‘Medical Evidence (2001) and ‘Risk Management and Litigation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (2001).
